About Postcard Attic
Postcard Attic is a growing archive of vintage postcards, handwritten messages, and postal history from different eras. The site was created to preserve and share the artwork, stories, postmarks, and everyday moments found within old postcards.
Many of the postcards featured on the site are either currently for sale or from our previously sold archive. Some include handwritten notes, publisher details, stamps, and postmarks that offer a small glimpse into the lives of the people who once sent and received them.
The collection includes a variety of postcard themes, including seaside scenes, animals, humour, greetings cards, British towns and cities, and postcards from the Edwardian and early twentieth‑century periods.
Alongside the postcard archive, Postcard Attic also creates vintage postcard notebooks inspired by images from the collection. These notebooks give historic postcards a new lease of life, transforming them into practical stationery while helping to preserve and celebrate the artwork of the past.
To support collectors and researchers, many entries include general estimated value ranges, offering a helpful guide to typical prices for different types of vintage postcards.
Postcard Attic is intended as both a visual archive and a place for collectors, history lovers, and postcard enthusiasts to browse and explore vintage postcards.
